Insight FAQ's Q: I heard there were two venues, when and what is the difference? A: The Insight event will be presented in two different venues (the US and EMEA): Americas Insight Event Date: November 2-5, 2009 Venue: Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, Phoenix, Arizona EMEA Insight Event Date: November 16-18, 2009 Venue: Athenaeum InterContinental, Athens, Greece The content may be adapted to suit the Americas and EMEA audiences, but the format of both events is the same. Q: When does registration begin? A: Conference registration will open in August and will be handled in two phases. The first phase begins early August, to register your attendance, reserve your hotel accommodation and to make travel arrangements. The second phase will begin mid-September, where once registered you will be invited to personalise your agenda by booking on to individual breakout sessions. Q: How should I book my air travel to Insight? A: Sponsors will be responsible for booking their own travel through their company's corporate travel process. Travel itineraries will need to be provided to the Insight Conference Team. This information is necessary to ensure that the appropriate ground transportation is available for you. Q: Which airports should I be traveling into? A: We recommend you plan on arriving and departing from Athens International Airport (ATH). Q: How should I book my hotel reservations for Insight? A: All hotel arrangements must be made through the Insight registration process. Please do NOT contact the hotel directly for room reservations. Your room will automatically be reserved based on the hotel dates you select during the registration process. Your accommodation cost will be charged to your credit card or DGF activity code. Q: How can I make a change once I have registered? A: If you need to make any changes to your record after submitting your registration, you can easily submit your change request online by re-visiting the Insight website. A recap of your original registration request will be displayed. Q: What is the appropriate attire? A: Business Casual is appropriate for all business meetings and evening functions. Q: May I bring a guest? A: Insight 2009 is for registered employees, channel partners, and sponsors only. Guests are not permitted at any Insight events. Any expenses incurred by bringing a guest are the responsibility of the attendee. Q: Is parking available at the hotel? A: Parking is available at all of the Insight 2009 hotels, and costs vary between €15 - €24 per day. Q: Will ground transportation be provided? A: A shuttle will be provided from Athens International Airport on the main arrival and departure days. A shuttle service will also be provided between the Divani Caravel and Crowne Plaza hotels and the Athenaeum InterContinental, and all hotels and the offsite dinner venue. Ground transportation between other airports and the hotel will be on your own, and at your own expense. Q: How do we get around Athens? A: The Athenaeum InterContinental and all offsite hotels are located between 1 and 2 km from the centre of Athens. All hotels provide a free of charge shuttle service into the city centre. Please consult your hotel concierge on arrival in Athens for times and further details. Alternatively, take a short taxi ride. Please note, a taxi sharing scheme is in operation within the city of Athens. If you hail a taxi on the street, you may find another passenger already in the taxi, or the taxi stopping to pick up another passenger. Priority is given to the first passenger in the taxi. This scheme does not apply to taxis booked from your hotel. Q: What topics will be covered and who are the presenters? A: Most of the presentations will be presented by Product Engineering, a couple classes will be taught by Engineering or have contributors from Engineering. This year the field, Channel Partners and our Alliance Partners will also be presenting papers submitted in response to the Call for Papers.
